OPPORTUNITY
With a well-known history of time management software for small- to mid-size businesses, this brand was seeking help telling a larger story of its expanded offerings and an all-new platform that worked hard for its customers. Not only did the client need a new brand system for their platform, but they needed help with strategy and messaging to get their new offerings into the sales team’s hands (and into market) sooner.
PROCESS
The brand’s new platform needed to tell a hardworking story—your team works hard, and our software works harder. So my colleague and I set out to create a logo that would emanate this mindset at every angle. And what better way to illustrate a nonstop work ethic other than what I described as ‘the hardworking hexagon’? A natural shape created by worker bees in a hive, the hexagon is one of the most efficient shapes and became famous as such in this video: Hexagons are the Bestagons
Once the logo was created, I set out to build a series of brand assets—a color palette that illustrated a rock-solid work ethic, custom iconography, a typography system to tell the new brand story, and a series of collateral materials (sales decks, messaging guides and a website concept) to share their story with the world.
